Real quick note (I need to catch up on sleep and it's so late already... *sigh* 11:10 is late these days)
I just wanted to let you know that I am still alive. No, this isn't the usual update about the absent med student. I actually did risk my life this weekend :) I went skydiving... or as troy described it, I went jumping from a perfectly good airplane. I preferred to describe it like this: "I fell from a plane." A long way. And it was FUN! I'll tell y'all more later.

So the situation is this...
Tomorrow is an exam, and I have five lectures to read through and fill in the cracks (read: wide gaping holes) in my understanding of the abdominal cavity; hm, one might call it the brick wall that I get to hit my head against. Sooooo what do I do first thing on the job? Talk to friends and write on my blogger :) Hey, if I'm stressed out I won't retain anything anyway.
I'm just really super-geeked because I JUST GOT MY COMPUTER TODAY!!!! I was going to get one last year (because my old computer really is old-- 6 years!) but it took me until now to know what I really wanted. Sitting at home on my wonderful space-age "egg-desk" is my Dell Inspiron 8200. I'd much rather be at home playing with it than working now or studying for the exam. I really am excited to finally watch DVDs on my very own machine, and to burn cds (they didn't have that 6 years ago) and to carry around all that data (it's 30000 times more than a floppy! of course it's 80 times heavier....)
This is good news for all of my fans (yes, you two get a lot of mentions!) This means that I will be able to be online on IM a whole lot more often, and hopefully I will be able to blog somewhat regularly and even (*gasp*) update my webpage (dun dun DUN!) because that's a sorry little piece of "i just need to put up the pictures and links fast") And I'll even fix my web files so you see my new template (the pictures seem to be in the wrong folder but I can't figure out the mac "fetch" or whatever their ftp program is. Join in the excitement everyone! And if you know the Dance of Joy... now's a good time.
