i had to change my template (no more friendly purple and pinks) because new blogger code wasn't recognizing it. The two blogs below were written last week, when I was in the middle of 5 exams in 7 days (bleah) but today was bright and beautiful.

just a side note-- i wrote the last note a few days ago, and since then I had a couple weird experiences....
First, today I tried to bike with a skirt on. No, it didn't really work that well. I even tried the "tuck the front in to the back waistband" trick.
Second, my biochem lecturer was talking to himself (on microphone of course) during lecture, trying to figure out why it kept making popping noises. Jokingly, he said "i know, it's got to be my beltbuckle. ... maybe I should just take off my pants." Then, remembering the 100-odd students in front of him he said "you didn't hear that." I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. Of course, you had to excuse him-- he'd woken up twice at night and started to get ready for the day (at 1am and 3am) then was riding into campus at 5am and avoided a skunk in the road and almost got hit by a car.
Third, for those of you who know these names: I found Nate Lenneman (DeWittiots show up everywhere!) as a second-year here at COM. And Mike Neuman was at Wheatland festival when I went two weeks ago-- he was in the clogging workshop again :)
Fourth, it's four days from the equinox, and the sun was low and huge in the sky at sunset, with these bluey-grey clouds above and below, and just a hint of orangey yellow light surrounding it, and the sun itself was this lazy reddish orange color. I admired it for a minute before I remembered to turn right on a red light.

I HAVE ANATOMY EXAMS (LECTURE AND LAB) TOMORROW. MUST STUDY!!!!
